1.Confirmation of CNC parts drawings
One day we received an inquiry from a buyer(Mr. A) on tuofa-cncmachining.com. We inquired about the basic information of the buyer according to the usual practice and obtained the 2D/3D drawings(pdf, dwg, stp, step format, etc.), of the parts from the buyer according to the content of the buyer's inquiry. the drawing usually includes the name of the part, size, material, tolerance, quantity, and surface treatment. If the buyer does not indicate all the information in the drawing, we need to take the initiative to contact the buyer and confirm, that Mr. A needs to process this time is an optical lens casing. The material is 6061 T6 aluminum. The size and other details are in the drawings. The tolerance is in accordance with the ISO 2768 standard. Black color, after confirming these with Mr. A, we will send the drawings to our engineering department.
2.CNC parts Instant quote
The engineering department will check the drawings, and confirmed this part is within our processing range, our quotation department give me a quotation according to the drawings. Including the unit price, lead time, and matters needing attention of each part, after I get the quotation I need to make a quote sheet and send it to Mr. A. Usually, our quotation is valid for 7 days. Mr. A said the price is acceptable, then I contact the transportation company to calculate the freight and communicate the customs declaration matters of the order. After confirming these contents, I make a proforma invoice to Mr. A, which contains the detailed expenses, the company's collection account, and other information.
3.CNC parts materials
After Mr. A completes the payment, I will make a production order within our company and send it to our planning department together with the buyer's drawings. After the planning department receives the production order, they will arrange to purchase the raw materials according to the customer's drawing information. This order requires the purchase of 6061 T6 aluminum rods, the size will be slightly larger than the buyer's drawing size, and the drawings will be sent to the engineering department for programming. After completed, it will be copied to our CNC machine for subsequent processing.
After the material comes back, our skilled workers load the programmed program into the CNC machine and debug it, and then it is trial production.
4.Process of machining CNC parts
The aluminum bar is turned out of the same length as an aluminum segment on the CNC lathe for spare, and then the aluminum segment is loaded with a fixture. The outermost surface of the aluminum rod will be removed from the lathe. This step can get the appearance without bumps and other defects. After that, the appearance of the buyer's drawings is briefly sketched. At this time, the aluminum section still has a margin for the buyer's drawings. This is for the follow-up finishing lathe to take shape. After this step is completed, the aluminum material needs to be left for a period of time so that the material can release the stress well and prevent dimensional deviation due to material problems in subsequent processing. After that, the aluminum section needs to cut out a smooth surface, and the grooves are also cut out.
There are two parts of the lens shell that need to be embossed, and the one embossed pattern will be rougher, which allows consumers to adjust the focal length, another embossed pattern will be more delicate, which can provide a better look and feel. After this step is completed, the internal aluminum material needs to be removed. The technician will cut out the internal thread according to the drawing. The thread at the internal is the slide rail for adjusting the focal length of the optical lens. We need to use the Multi-head screwdriver bits for processing to get the desired effect, and then Sharp edges and burrs are then treated and chamfered. After the completion of the angle, the part will come to the CNC milling machine process. The drawing shows that there are 4 threaded holes at the bottom of the lens casing. We use a tool of the corresponding size to mill out the threaded holes and perform chamfering processing, and then the part needs to be transferred to the tapping machine for tapping processing. the completion of the above steps means that the CNC machining process has been completed, and the next process is the surface treatment.
5.CNC parts surface finishing services
According to Mr. A’s needs, first, we sandblast the parts. After completing this step, we need to check whether there are bumps and scratches on the surface. This time we use visual inspection. Only qualified parts will enter the anodizing. We use a special fixture to support the inside of the part. Since this part has high requirements for appearance and functionality, anodizing will inevitably form a "shadow" at the contact point between the fixture and the component. For this reason, we have improved the fixture to reduce The contact point between the fixture and the part and minimize the "shadow" area, after this step we get a black camera lens housing.
6.CNC parts quality control
CNC metal parts supplier need to inspect the components in the following process. For the parts with high precision requirements such as the lens housing, we usually adopt the form of a full inspection. In terms of size, we use a height gauge, and the threaded hole needs to use a screw gauge. The size must be within the tolerance range to be considered qualified. The parts that fail the inspection need to be reworked or redone. The qualified products will be marked with a qualified mark and packaged. The packaging personnel needs to inspect the appearance of the parts, It can be found that bumps or scratches occur on parts during packaging and carry. we will use paper packaging for qualified products, and use bubble bags to protect the outside. At the same time, we will stick labels printed with the name of the drawing, quantity, code, and origin on the packaging. After all components of this order are packaged, they will be packed into a specific outer box. The outer box is first of all firm and reliable, so as to avoid damage to the product during transportation.
7.Type of shipping
Completion of the above steps means that more than half of our order has been completed. The next final work is transportation and customs declaration. We need to prepare customs declaration materials for the transportation company so that buyers can also better after receiving the products. After completing the customs clearance, the follow-up is to wait for the buyer to receive, inspect and feedback on the product.
