Fabrication and Heat Treatment
- Machinability: Grade 19 can be machined using high-speed tools with tungsten carbide or cobalt-based tools.
- Forming: Capable of both hot and cold forming.
- Annealing: Heat to 704°C (1300°F) for 2 hours, followed by air cooling.
- Forging: Rough forging at 900°C (1650°F) and completed at 843°C (1550°F).
- Hot Working: Enhances ductility.
- Cold Working: Similar to austenitic stainless steel, with post-work annealing recommended.
