As we always say, we value the trust customer placed on us.
We could sign NDA before you giving drawings.
3D Printing self-service is not currently available.
How do I design my object?
Designing a 3D object to print is done using 3D modeling software. There are many 3D modeling programs available, including professional programs like SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor (which are available in the MRC), and free software programs like Blender, Wings3D, FreeCAD, and Sketchup. You will need to export your 3D model into .STL (STereoLithography) format in order to print it.
Aluminum is a tricky material to weld. Tuofa has the trained welders with experience and proper equipment for welding aluminum, even light-gauge aluminum components, including retail shelving, cabinets, electrical boxes and support framework.
Can you provide finishing services?
Yes. Many of our customers take advantage of our wonderful relationships we have with outside vendors to provide finishing services such as anodizing, passivation, plating, polishing, grinding, and heat treating.
Yes. We regularly machining PVC, Peek, Teflon, Delrin, PPS, PDFE and others.
Can composite materials be machined?
We can machine most carbon-fiber composites, but special tooling is required, and experimentation must be done on each new part to set the correct feeds and speeds.
.What is the CNC Machining Process?
The process of CNC Machining is when the machining tool operation is automated by pre-programmed software. CNC stands for “Computer Numerical Control” which means, the complex machining and tool movement such as speed, coordination, and rate in which the part is fed into the machine is all controlled by software. CAD professionals design and draw up the part in the CAD program and then the machine carries out the repetitive movements rather than human operators so that consistent and precise parts production can be accomplished.
We can provide all kinds of testing certificates, material and dimensional inspection, etc.
Usually, base on your design drawings or original samples, we give some technical proposals
and a quotation to you, after your agreement, we produce for you.
Depending on your specific project, it usually takes 5 to 10 days, but single sample will charge fee.
For batch production we will provide free sample for check before mass production,
but you are expected to pay the freight.
Send us e-mail. In order to quote you as soon as possible, we need the following information:
- Detailed drawings (Format: CAD/PDF/DWG/IGES/STEP)
- Materials
- Quantity
- Surface treatment
- Any special packaging or other requirement
FAQs about custom machining, sheet metal manufacturing, 3D printing
1.Can you do laser etching? What file to use?
Yes, we have supplier to do it. File in AI format is preferred.
2.What is the depth of laser etching?
Generally, the depth is 0.02-0.05mm.
3.Do you do engraving?
Yes, it is OK to do engraving by CNC milling.
4.Can brass parts be polished?
Yes, hand polishing only. Brass parts must be kept away from water after polishing otherwise they will be oxidized by the air.
5.What aluminum alloy is best for anodizing, 6061, 6063 and 7075?
6063 in deed. Feature: less color difference, more color stability, good surface quality.
6.What are the largest sizes you can do?
1100*650*300mm
7.What is the min thickness your CNC machines can do?
Generally, 3mm. It is hard to hold parts with thickness smaller than 1mm. Besides, the cost can be high.
8.What is sandblasting finish?
Sandblasting is a surface finishing process that use air compressor as well as a sandblasting machine to spray abrasive particles under high pressure against a surface. Particles to be used are sand, glass bead, metal bead etc. As the sand particles strike the surface, they create a smoother and more even texture.
9.Will the grit be removed after sandblasting?
Yes. Parts will be cleaned after sandblasting and there is no grit on surface.
10.Can you make parts according to my samples?
Yes, we can. We have a supplier who copies data for us. We can also adjust the data for your need if you want.
11.Can I have your catalog?
No, we don’t have a catalog because we don’t have spare parts ready to ship. All parts are customized by our clients.
12.What is CNC machining?
CNC stands for computer numerical control. General CNC machining usually refers to computer digital control of precision machining, CNC machining lathes, CNC machining milling machines, CNC machining boring and milling machines, etc.
13.What materials can be machined with a CNC machine?
Raw material as following:
Stainless steel: SS201, SS301(sheet material), SS303, SS304, SS316, SS316L, 17-4 etc
Aluminum: 2024, 5052, 6061(T6), 6063(T6), 7075(T6) etc
Titanium: TA1, TA2(grade 2), TC4(grade 5) etc
Steel: mild steel, carbon steel, 4140, 4340, Q235, Q345B, 20#, 45# etc
Brass: H58, H59, H62, H65 etc
Copper: C11000, C12000, C36000 etc
Plastic: ABS, POM, PC, UHWM, acrylic, PA(6) etc
14.Can you do aluminum 6082?
No, 6082 is rare in Chinese market.
15.Can you ream holes? What reamers do you have?
Yes. Available reamers are 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm. Special reamers should be customized.
16.How deep a hole can you drill?
We have tools to drill holes with ratio of length to diameter smaller than.
17.Can you do parts without tool marks?
It depends. It is hard to completely avoid tool marks during machining. Tool marks can be removed by polishing/sandblasting.
18.What surface treatment can you offer?
Sandblasting, anodizing, plating, painting, powder coating, PVD, polishing etc.
19.What colors can you offer?
Clear, black, red, blue, pink, purple, green, cyan, orange, gold etc.
20.What tolerance can you offer?
Unless otherwise specified, tolerance is ISO 2768-mk.
