Hi, I'm Andy, In 2006, I founded Tuofa in Shenzhen, China.

 

My career began in the medical device industry, where I gained a deep appreciation for how precision-engineered components, often made from stainless steel and titanium alloys, can profoundly improve people's lives. This experience ignited my passion for CNC machining and its potential to create innovative solutions across various industries.

My Roots in Engineering

I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, where I was fascinated by the interplay of design, materials, and manufacturing. I even took extra courses in materials science because I was so curious about how different substances could be transformed into functional products.

The Mindray Years

After graduating, I landed a role as a Product Design Manager at Mindray, a leading medical device company. I was part of a talented team that created innovative solutions for healthcare professionals around the world. It was during this time that my passion for machining truly ignited. I witnessed firsthand how stainless steel and titanium alloys, with their unique properties of biocompatibility, corrosion resistance, and strength, were essential in crafting life-saving medical devices.

A Spark of Innovation: A New CNC Turning Technique

While working at Mindray, I became deeply involved in the CNC machining processes used to create intricate medical components. I was constantly seeking ways to improve efficiency and precision. One day, a breakthrough came. I developed a novel CNC turning technique that involved altering the toolpath in a way that significantly reduced production time and improved surface finish. This innovation eventually became my first patent.

The Birth of Tuofa China: 2006

Inspired by this success and driven by a desire to explore the full potential of my new turning technique, I founded Tuofa CNC Machining in 2006. I rented a small workshop and invested in six used CNC machines, eager to put my ideas into practice.

The early days were a whirlwind of experimentation and refinement. We leveraged my patented CNC turning technique to deliver high-quality, complex parts with exceptional speed and accuracy. Word of our capabilities spread quickly, and soon we were attracting clients from diverse industries.
